Wide Awake is the first release of the German pianist and composer Niklas Blumenthaler. At the age of 28 Niklas has found his very own musical identity. His music is best described as a combination of minimalistic melodies as well as floating and emotional tones like the music of the neoclassical composers Ludovico Enaudi, Yann Tiersen or Lambert. In 2019, after many years working as a pianist, keyboard player and composer for various local bands and being a songwriter for well-known German pop musicians, Niklas decided to do his own thing! Niklas greatest musical inspirations are the nature, his love for the late evening hours and the search for inner silence. 'Wide Awake' is the beginning of a journey.
